剧情介绍：
胶东农民余东风为了凑齐迎娶同村姑娘小凤的聘礼而去参加国民党军，不料中途逃回村里却发现村子被日本人扫荡，小凤生死不明。东风得知幕后黑手是维持会会长苏大牙，进城不仅杀了苏大牙还搅得满城风雨。关键时刻，八路军连长赵志国出手相救，东风随后加入八路军。四年后，东风已是八路军的一名营长，凭借着自己“智、猛、抠”带着队伍打了一次次胜仗。一次，东风部队和日军发生惨烈血战，团长牺牲，东风报仇心切，未识破鬼子的诡计，带着队伍冒进追击，中了埋伏，全军覆没。东风无脸回去，隐姓埋名参加了县大队，带着这支县大队不断壮大，在一次战斗中跟老部队重逢。东风重回部队，但突然要求去文工团唱戏，原来灭团仇人佐竹极其喜欢听戏；东风趁着佐竹看堂会的时候，手刃仇人。1945年，东风带着八路军山东纵队新七旅的战士们，在胶东战场上开始了新的征战。
